The countdown timer will display if there is an event added with the category "Live Event" and will countdown to the start time of the next upcoming event that has that category added.

To add a new Live Event, you will go to Events > Events > Add a New Event in the CMS, and make sure the category "Live Event" is added. It will link the user to whatever page is set in the "Website" field in the event.
