Section Monklets

Overview

Note: For additional information about using monklets, check out our help article here. For help with inline parameters, check our help article here.

Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages.  You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area, selecting Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet".

Some monklets allow/require inline parameters to be passed to define items from a specific group, category, link list, etc.

Example: {{section-monklet-linked-image-3|find="serving-linked-images"}}

Note: Monklets defined with "Section Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the content area of a section used in a full width section. Monklets defined with "Sidebar Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the content area of a section used in the sidebar.

Monklets labeled with "section" or "sidebar" in the title can be used throughout the site. However, if you purchase any premium layouts, monklets included with those layouts will only be available for use with the respective layouts.

Displays a rotator from Media > Rotator. The "find" inline parameter is required, and all images should be the same size.  The images are displayed two at a time with the first image content displaying in the left column.

Section Monklet - Linked Image (2), (3) or (4)

Displays linked images from the Link List module in rows of 2, 3 or 4.  The find inline parameter is required, the Description field is the optional overlay text and the button text is the optional button text.

Section Monklet - Recent Sermon

Displays the most recent sermon.  You can use the find_group to display sermons from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display sermons from a specific category.

Section Monklet - Staff Row (4)

Section Monklet - 50/50 Offset Image Rollovers

This is a custom monklet that uses a linklist.  It can only be used with the 50/50 sections and is placed in the content area of a section.  This takes the images from each link entry and places them in order in the 50/50 image column.  Hovering over the image replaces the default content with the link entry description content.

The description field of the link list will display as paragraph text.  To display full html content you can place the slug version of the section name that you want to show. The slug version is all lowercase and dashes instead of spaces, and it also needs to have dual curly braces around it.  re. {{my-section-slug}}

*NOTE - The 50/50 content displays as the initial default content.

Displays the 3 most recent featured events.  The featured monklet only displays those published as featured.  You can use the find_group to display events from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display events from a specific category.

Displays the most recent article published as featured.   You can use the find_group to display articles from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display articles from a specific category.  The monklet "Sidebar Monklet - Recent Article" displays the same layout but is the most recent regardless of feature status.

Displays the most recent sermon published as featured.   You can use the find_group to display sermons from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display sermons from a specific category.  The monklet "Sidebar Monklet - Recent Sermon" displays the same layout but is the most recent regardless of feature status.

Displays all users assigned to a specific group.  Requires find_group inline parameter.

BILLBOARD MONKLET

Billboard Monklet - Event Countdown

Displays a countdown timer tied to the most recent event from the "Live Event" category.  You can use the find_category inline parameter to display from a specific category.

By default the event website is used for the watch live link, the event title for the button text during the countdown and the summary text for the button text when live.

Content > Link Lists > "Countdown"

You can override the event text and url options with this link list.  This list should only have a single link entry.  The url is used for the watch live link, the description for the timer text and the button text is used with the link for when the event is live.  Pre-live event displays a link to the most sermons.

Note: this monklet is only supported in the "Header Text" field of the page.
