Homepage Monklets
Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages. There are a few monklets that have been created that are placed in the content area of your sidebar sections.
You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area and selecting:
Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet"
Some monklets allow/require inline parameters to define items from a specific group, category, etc. You can use one of the inline "find" parameters such as the "find_category" parameter to display items from a specific category. Example: {{section-monklet-featured-article-columns-2|find_category="stories"}}
The monklets listed below were designed to be used on Finney's homepage, but can be used in other full width sections throughout your site. You can find other section monklets included for your theme HERE.

This monklet will display a single row of images/links from a link list: Content > Link Lists. Each link represents a column and displays the best with 2 to 4 entries/columns. Within each item, the name, link, image, description and subtitle fields are used. The "description" displays as the small top heading, followed by the "subtitle" text. The link and image are required, and the image should be square (1,024px by 1,024px is recommended).
With this monklet, you will need to use the "find" parameter to tell the monklet which link list to display. The homepage example looks like this:
{{section-monklet-linked-image-row-square|find="home-connect"}}
You can use this same monklet with other fullwidth sections throughout your site. You would need to create a new link list (Content > Link Lists), add the "Section Monklet - Linked Image Row - Square" to a new section (or copy the "Home - Connect" section) and then add the "find" parameter to the monklet, like the example above (all lowercase and dashes instead of spaces).
This monklet will display the three most recent events published as featured. If you want to display the latest featured events from a specific group or category, you can use the "find_group" and "find_category" inline parameters as needed.
Here is an example of what this would look like if you wanted to display an event from the category "Children's Ministry":
{{section-monklet-featured-events-list-3|find_category="childrens-ministry"}}
Displays the most recent event from the Events module published as featured. The event information displays on a highlight box to either the right or left, and this works best with a section using a background image and parallax option.
If you want to display the latest featured event from a specific group or category, you can use the "find_group" and "find_category" inline parameters as needed.
This monklet will display a carousel/rotator of images from a link list: Content > Link Lists.
{{section-monklet-linked-image-carousel-square|find="home-next-steps"}}
You can use this same monklet with other fullwidth sections throughout your site. You would need to create a new link list (Content > Link Lists), add the "Section Monklet - Linked Image Row - Square" to a new section (or copy the "Home - Next Steps" section) and then add the "find" parameter to the monklet, like the example above (all lowercase and dashes instead of spaces).
This monklet will display the two most recent articles published as featured, which are setup under Content > Articles. If you want to display the latest featured events from a specific group or category, you can use the "find_group" and "find_category" inline parameters as needed.
Here is an example of the homepage setup that is pulling the latest two featured articles from the "Stories" categories"
{{section-monklet-featured-article-columns-2|find_category="stories"}}
This monklet will display the most recent sermon, which is setup under Content > Sermons. If you want to display the latest sermon from a specific group or category, you can use the "find_group" and "find_category" inline parameters as needed.
Here is an example of what this would look like if you wanted to display a sermon from the category "Prayer":
{{section-monklet-recent-sermon|find_category="prayer"}}
This monklet is used for the newsletter sign up box in the Home - Newsletter section and cannot be reused for multiple sign ups. When a user subscribes, their email address will be added to the "Newsletter" group in the cms (People > Groups).
The text is managed under Content > Link Lists > "Newsletter Sign Up". The "name" field is used for the title, and the "subtitle" field controls the text. In the "description" field, the {{newsletter-sign-up}} monklet is added. This controls the sign up field and should not be removed.
