Minister Resources

This custom layout uses the sermons module: Content > Sermons. The "sermons" tab list the individual resources, and the "series" tab is where the month/image are managed.

Resource List

The Resource list displays sermons by date. The Current Resources will show the current month (series) at the top of the page based on the sermons within the series. The three upcoming series (months) will show under Additional Resources. Each sermon must be assigned to a series, and the series title/image will display based on the first sermon assigned within the series (in date order). 

The resource cards will display the following: 

  • Series title (ie: February 2025)
  • Sermon category (ie: Sunday or Wednesday)
  • Sermon title (ie: 2-23-25)

Resource Detail

The detail page displays the specific resource selected from the list. The info on the left side is the same as the list view, and the sermon (resource) content will display below this info.

  • Series title (ie: February 2025)
  • Sermon category (ie: Sunday or Wednesday)
  • Sermon title (ie: 2-23-25)

The Scripture Resource Library information is managed within the sermon record (see details below).

Managing the Sermon Record

Please note the following field when creating your resources (sermons):

  • Title - this will be the resource date that shows on both the resource list and detail pages
  • Category - assign the "Sunday" or "Wednesday" category to display with the title
  • Series - this is where the month/year series needs to be assigned to each resource
  • Passage - controls the passages displayed in the sidebar of the detail page (max 2)
  • Date - this is a required field and will control the placement of the sermon record on the list. This should match the date used in the resource title

These additional fields are used for the righthand sidebar on the detail page:

  • Download the Addendum - controls this button link
  • Download the DSG - controls this button link
  • Bible Cloud iFrame - the link should be added in this field to display the embed in the sidebar
  • Passage 1 Description - controls the text below passage 1
  • Passage 2 Description - controls the text below passage 2

Additional Resources

The additional resources at the bottom right of the detail page will not change per sermon and are managed under the Link Lists module.

  • Settings > Link Lists > Minister Resources Buttons - controls the title/link of the three buttons
  • Settings > Link Lists > Minister Resources Image Link - control the search the catechism image/link
