CCB - Events

Overview

The CCB Events Template uses the Ekklesia events #3 layout and is populated by Community Church Builder. Your CCB events will display on the Event List and Full Calendar views.

Category Filter

Content > Link Lists > "CCB Event Categories"

This link list controls the category filter. The name of each link will be the name of the group type used in CCB and must match the corresponding group type name. The CCB Group Type can be copied from your CCB admin control panel.

The featured events are set in the Ekklesia360 events module. Any event that is in our system in the events module and published as featured will display on the "Featured Events" calendar landing page and your homepage.

NOTE - There is a custom field labeled "CCB Event ID". The specific CCB Event ID number must be used in this field and and the event date must match its corresponding CCB event to direct the user to the correct CCB event detail page.

The custom monklet can be used to display events in the sidebar area of your subpage default layout. To add a filter to the sidebar monklet, you will first need to setup your section under Content > Sections. We have an example setup for you titled "Sidebar Section - CCB Events".

You can select this example and choose the "copy section" button on the right to create your own. Within the new/copied section, rename the title to include the ministry area where it will be used. Then add the Category ID (numeric value) from CCB into the "description" field.

Note: If you don't need to filter event by group/ministry for the sidebar, you can just use the example section we have created for you on multiple pages.

Then, add the section to the Sidebar Section area of your page.

Ministry Template

Your CCB events will also pull into the Events section of your Ministry Template. Similar to the sidebar option, we have setup a section called "Ministry Layout 1 - CCB Events".

You will want to copy this section for each page using the Ministry Template and rename the section for the respective ministry (ie: Ministry Layout - CCB Student Events).

Within each section, the category name needs to be added to the CCB Event Category field. This will determine which grouping of events display for that section/ministry page.
