What should be Capitalized in Headings?

Article Headings

Capitalize the first letter of each word in the heading of articles.

Chapter Headings

Capitalize important words like:

  • Verbs - Add, Type, Create
  • Adjectives - Large, Tiny
  • Adverbs - Easily, Quickly, Smoothly
  • Nouns - Module, Page, Sermon, Text, Homepage

Words Not Capitalized in the Chapter Headings

Avoid capitalizing short words and conjuctions like:

  • Articles - a, an, the
  • Coordinating Conjunctions - and, but, for
  • Short (less than 5 letters) Prepositions - at, by, from

Capitalize Ekklesia terms to match what users see on the backend, and make main menu items bold and italic.

  • Content, Events, Media
  • Navigate to Content Pages > click to edit the Index page. 

The bold and italic formatting will replace quotation marks around the title.

Modules & Terms

Capitalize Ekklesia terms to match what users see on the backend, and make main menu items bold.

  • Pages, Small Groups, Link List, Sidebar Monklet - Recent Post
  • Hover over an individual item to see 3 Tools: Plus to add a new item, Pencil to edit the item, Trash to remove the item.
