Resources Template

Overview

Your custom Resources Layout uses the Articles module: Content > Articles

The Resource Toolbox at the top of the layout displays your five divisions and all resource articles list below. When a division is selected, the articles list will filter based on that division. An additional "Department" dropdown will be added for users to filter the articles list by a specific department.

Divisions

The Divisions are setup as groups (People > Groups), and each group is assigned to the Resource Groups series. If you add more Divisions in the future, a new group will need to be created and then added to the Resource Groups series.

Help Article: Groups Overview

The Division content is managed under Content > Link Lists > Resource Groups. This link list is also used for the Resource Groups monklet in the Next Steps section.

>> See Instructions Here

Note: Each link list item name needs to match the cooresponding Division group name.

When creating your resource articles, each one needs to have the respective Division (group) assigned, which is done under the "Publish" tab.

Departments

In the Articles module (Content > Articles), the Departments are managed under the Categories tab.  There is a parent category for "Resources", and all Departments should be added to this "Resources" category.

When creating your resource articles, both the "Resources" parent category and the specific Department category need to be assigned, which is done under the "Detail" tab.

Article Details

The article details page will display the following info:

  1. Article Title - displays at the top of the details page
  2. Intro Content - optional text to hightlight at the top of the page. This is a full WYSIWYG editor, and the example is using the blockquote style.
  3. Content - this is the bulk of the articles and is a full WYSIWYG editor.
  4. Contact Form - this hard coded form will be sent to the article author. The author will need to be linked to a user account, which can be setup under Content > Articles > Authors tab.
  5. Audio File- if populated, icons will display at the top right to listen or download the file.
  6. Image/Video - displays the image loaded into the articles. If a video is also included, the video will also display in this spot.

Your Resource article images can be any size, but 16:9 is recommended (ex: 1024x576px or 1200x675px)
