Section Monklets

Overview

Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages.  There are a few monklets that have been created that are placed in the content area of your full width sections.

You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area, selecting Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet".

Some monklets allow inline parameters to be passed to define items from a specific group, category, etc.

NOTE - Monklets defined with "Section Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the page content area or the content area of a section.

Section Monklet Options

These monklets can be used with your fullwidth sections on both the Subpage Default and Subpage Fullwidth templates.

The "Image Grid Links" monklet uses the link list image grid strucure frrom your New Here layout to display rows of images.

Step 1: Create a link list (Content > Link List) for your images, ex: New Here 3 - Grid Links. Each item in the list should have a name, image and description. You link field can also be used and will add a button below the description area.

Step 2: Create a section: Content > Sections. The monklet needs to be placed within a section. The "Image Grid Section" is setup for you, so you can copy that example and rename the new section. Within the content field, the "find" parameter will need to be updated with the title of your new link list. This should be the slug version of the link list title, which is all lowercase and dashes instead of spaces.

ex: {{image-grid-links|find="new-here-3-grid-links"}}

Step 3: Add your section to a page. This is done in the Section dropdown options in your page settings.

Uses a link list to display a row of icon links.  First you will create a link list and assign a name, link and and icon class. Once the link list is created you will go to the section, insert the monklet and use the find inline parameter.

A full list of available icons can be found at  http://mk037.monkpreview.com/_assets/fonts/icons/ (use your domain when your site goes live).
