To use the First Steps monklet, you will insert it into a section by going to Content > Sections > Insert > First Steps Monklet.

This monklet looks for the link list called "First Steps" - do not change the name of the link list or the monklet will break.

To edit the content of the monklet, go to Content > Link Lists > First Steps. You can edit the following fields:

• Name
• Link
• Description
• Button Text
• Evite Form Embed / Event ID
• Icon Class

The Event ID is added to display the date of the next event, and link to the event detail page. The Link field is not needed if an event ID is added. If there is no event ID added, the text "I want to join" will display and will display whatever is added to the "button text" field and link to whatever is added to the "link" field.

To link to an Event ID, you will first need to create the Event, and then note its ID. You can see the ID at the end of the URL in Ekklesia (example image below). You will also need to add a URL to the External Registration URL field of the even (example in the second image below) t in order for the register button to display on the homepage. If no URL is present, it will display the next "Check back for the next event".

You can change the icons by using any of the icons available in your Icon Font.
