List Page Overview
Header Image and Intro Text
The header image amd intro text for your Next Steps layout will be loaded into your Outreach page: Content > Pages > Outreach. The following fields are used for your Outreach page:
- Content: Used for the title and content of the Intro text
- Header Image: The recommended header image size for your design theme is 1600x480px
Featured Ministry
The content for the Featured Ministry portion of the layout pulls from a separate section: Content > Sections > Outreach - Featured Ministry. The following fields are used within this section:
- Name: For internal use only
- Background Image: Controls the image displaying behind your content
- Content Feature: Used for the section title, content and button. This field is a WYSIWYG editor that supports all text, media, links, etc.
- Dark Background: Reverses the default text to display white overtop of the background image
- Parallax Background (optional): Adds parallax scrolling functionality, so you would see the text scrolling overtop of the background image
List of Ministries and Partnerships
The Outreach opportunities are powered by the Articles module: Content > Articles.
Each list is setup as a Series in the Articles module (International, Local and Southeast), which represent the three tabs on your page. When creating your Articles, the specific Series will need to be assigned under the Detail tab, which determines the list where you article will display.
The filter bar is controlled by the Outreach Location and Outreach Skills parent categories in the Articles module (Content > Articles > Categories tab). You can add items to each category by selecting the "Add a New Category" button. Make sure either the Outreach Location or Outreach Skills is specified as the "Parent" category, since this will add your new category to the respective filter dropdown.
Make sure you do not change the Series titles or Parent categories.
Creating Your Outreach Articles
To create your Outreach opportunities, go to Content > Articles and select the "Add a New Article" button. Below is an overview of the Outreach article setup.
Detail Tab
Under the Detail tab, the following fields are used for your Outreach page:
- Title: Shows as the Outeach title on both the List and Detail pages
- Categories: Controls the filter bar. Both the parent and subcategories for Location or Skills need to be added.
- Series: Controls which list the article will be grouped under (International, Local, or Southeast)
- Partner: Enter the partner information to display on the Detail page. This field is a WYSIWYG editor that supports all text, media, links, etc.
- Summary Title: Displays the title for the summary (video) area on the Detail page
Content Tab
Under the Content tab, the following fields are used for your Outreach page:
- Summary: Displays a short summary in the video section of the Details page
- Content: Displays content about the Outreach opportunity at the bottom of the Details page
Volunteer Highlight
The content for the Volunteer Highlight portion also pulls from the Articles module. The most recent Volunteer article with the "Community Events" category assigned will display in this section. The image, title, content, and link will all generate from the Volunteer article details.
The background color of this section is managed under Content > Sections > Outreach - Opportunity. The "Description" field has a hex color value specified for the section background color, which you can change.
Please do not change the Content field of this section. It contains a monklet tag that pulls in the Volunteer details from the Articles module.
Upcoming Trips
This section uses the Events module: Events > Events. The 3 most recent events with the "Trips" category assigned will automatically display at the bottom of your Outreach page.
