Watch Live Button/Popup

This will option will initially display a button. When selected, it will generate a popup box for the user to enter the number of people watching your stream. Once the form is submitted, they will be directed to your streaming platform link: https://ccommunity.online.church.

The "Sermons Monklet - Lightbox Button" monklet is used for this setup and pulls the most recent event with the "Watch Live" category assigned. The category would need to be added to the monklet as a inline parameter so that only events with this category are used.

To show the button in the page header area, this monklet would need to be added Header Text field of your page.

Event Setup

This setup will display the next event assigned to the "Watch Live" category. When an event is live, the popup will show during the start/end times of the event. When there's no live event, the button will point to the url entered in the "website url" field of the event.

To manage the content, go to events > events. The following fields are used for this setup:

  • Name - controls the button label
  • Description - controls the text on the right side of the popup
  • Image - controls the image (logo) on the left side of the popup
  • Start Date/Time - controls when the popup will start showing
  • End Date/Time - controls when the popup will stop showing
  • Website - when there's no live event, the button will point to this link
  • Categories - the "Watch Live" category must be assigned

You can setup recurring events for your different services, but just make sure the "Watch Live" category is assigned and the details above populated in each one.

Form Settings

The form labeled "Sermons Lightbox - Form" is used for this setup. The form design is very specific and only supports the current setup of one select menu. The title showing in the select menu (how many people are watching) is hard coded in to display in that format, so the single dropdown question in the form settings should not have a title added.

You can also adjust the current options in the form dropdown question, as well as add a notification email in the form settings.
