Header Image, Video or Rotator

You can assign a Header Image, Header Background Video, or Rotator to any subpage on your site.

If a page has all three options assigned, the Rotator will always take precedent.

Header Image

The "Header Image" field populates the header background image.  If a header video is present, this image will be the preview image while the video is loading and also serves as the fallback for mobile devices.

The page title will display on top of the header image by default. If you'd prefer other text to display, you can enter text into the "Header Text" field.

Dimensions:

This image should be at a ratio of 16:9 with the recommended size of 1,366px by 550px (for retina images you can use 2,732px by 1,100px).

Background Video

Using the field "Header Background Video (mp4/h264)" will replace the header image with a video.  The video must be MP4/H264 formatted video and should have a ratio of 16:9.

When using a background video, it is a good idea to also upload a header image. The header image is still used for mobile devices and will display on a desktop computer while the video is loading. We recommend using the first still of the video as the header image.

Note: This is a looping/muted background video so the video should be kept short in size/length (under 30 seconds).

Rotator

Set up your rotator first in Media > Rotators > Add A New Rotator, then assign it to the page using the Rotator field.

Add the image you'd like to display in your rotator. Optional fields are:

  • Title - will overlay image
  • Caption - will overlay image, appear below title
  • Button text - will auto-create a button
  • Link - set where button will link to

Dimensions

All images should be at a ratio of 16:9 with the recommended size of 1,366px by 550px (for retina images you can use 2,732px by 1,100px).
