Service Tabs

The 5 tabs at the top of the layout use the groups module to display groups assigned to the "Livestream Groups" series (people > groups > Livestream Groups). Within the series settings, you can change the order of the tabs.

The tab titles can be adjusted by changing the group names.

Countdown Timer

Events > Events

The Countdown Timer displays the time to the next upcoming event assigned to the “Live Event” category. You can edit and update this event time when needed.

  1. Locate the “Live Stream” event within the events module.
  2. Set the Start Time, Date, and Repeats fields.
  3. Assign the "Live Event" category. 

At the start time of your event, the page will switch to the "Live" version and show the streaming embed code for the respective tab.

Note: you will also need to have the respective group assigned, and this will control the timer for each tab. 

Livestream Code

People > Groups > Select Group > "Edit Group" tab

For each group assigned to the "Livestream Groups" series, the livestream code and twitter handle are managed within the group settings.

Rotator

Media > Rotators

When the stream isn't live, you can assign an image rotator to display for each service tab. The matching group name needs to be added to the end of the rotator title, ex: Livestream Rotator - African Fellowship 

Buttons

Content > Link Lists > Live Stream Links - [GROUP NAME]

Each tab will have a separate link list with the matching group name. Within the lists, you can update the content by selecting the pencil icon for each item. Only the name and link fields are used.

The three footer sections are optional, but you can set them up to be specific sections for each tab/service. The naming convention should match the structure below with the matching group name at the end.

These sections can support monklets that pull in the recent sermon or event, forms, or other media.

Live Stream - Section 1 - [GROUP NAME]

  • Live Stream Text Section - This is a section of text that is fully editable

Live Stream - Section 2 - [GROUP NAME]

  • Live Stream Latest Sermon - This will display the latest sermon that is assigned to the "online" group

Live Stream - Section 3 - [GROUP NAME]

  • Live Stream Event Highlight - This will display an event "published as featured" and assigned to the "online" group.

NOTE:  the section labeled “Live Stream – Section 1 – Generic” can be used to show the same content in section 1 for all tabs. However, if this section doesn't have any content, each tab will switch to pull content from the individual section 1 for each tab/group outlined above.

Testing Your Live Event

Be sure to test your live streaming page before making it available on your website.

How To:

  1. View your live streaming page in your browser
  2. Add "?live=true" to the end of the URL
