The campus options are pulled from the Churches module (People > Churches). Once a user has selected a home campus, that option will be remembered as a site-cookie for 30 days, and content on the home page will be updated to reflect the campus of choice.

Note: Other pages on the site may also display varying content, based on the campus cookie, including Events, Groupfinder, and Sermons.
