Section Monklets

Overview

Note: For additional information about using monklets, check out our help article here. For help with inline parameters, check our help article here.

Monklets are predefined code snippets that allow you to bring in other module content (sermons, events, etc.) into your pages.  You can use a monklet inside a section by placing your cursor in the content area, selecting Insert > Insert Monklet > "Desired Monklet".

Some monklets allow/require inline parameters to be passed to define items from a specific group, category, link list, etc.

Example: {{section-monklet-linked-image-2-fullwidth|find="home-grid"}}

Note: Monklets defined with "Section Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the content area of a section used in a full width section. Monklets defined with "Sidebar Monklet" in the title can be inserted in the content area of a section used in the sidebar.

Monklets labeled with "section" or "sidebar" in the title can be used throughout the site. However, if you purchase any premium layouts, monklets included with those layouts will only be available for use with the respective layouts.

Section Monklet - Callout

Displays a callout feature from a link list (Content > Link Lists).  The find inline parameter is required.  The name is the sub title, the description is the callout text and the button text is required to display the link button.  The image will display in the right column.

Displays a link list as full width columns (Content > Link Lists).  The find inline parameter is required.

Each link entry represents a column.  The Sub Title is the heading, followed by the Description.  If the url is used the Button Text is required to display the button.  The image is the column background with a dark overlay.

The custom icons are created by entering a custom class in the "icon class" field (ie: fa-play) and are used with the Sub Title.  See a full list of available icons: http://elmbrook.monkpreview3.com/_assets/fonts/icons/fontawesome/ (substitute your url for http://elmbrook.monkpreview3.com when your site goes live).

To insert full html into a column you would still use a link entry for each column with the image field assigned for the background.  The Description field would contain the section slug in double curly braces to display a sections content block into the column.  The other fields would be left blank.  The Description section slug entry would look like {{section-slug}}, instead of having text.

*Note - The section content should have the monklet only.  No additional content should be added to the section.  This is a full width section monklet only.

Displays a rotator from Media > Rotator. The "find" inline parameter is required, and all images should be the same size.

Displays a list view of the 4 most recent events in the left column and the most recent event published as featured in the right.  This automatically passes the users selected/default campus to make these campus specific.  No inline parameters are accepted.  This monklet will refresh when a user changes their default campus.

Section Monklet - Upcoming Events (4)

Displays a list view of the 4 most recent events.   You can use the find_group to display events from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display events from a specific category.

Section Monklet - Recent Sermon

Displays the most recent sermon.  You can use the find_group to display sermons from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display sermons from a specific category.

Section Monklet - Recent Sermon - Campus

Displays the same as "Section Monklet - Recent Sermon", but this automatically passes the users selected/default campus to make these campus specific.  No inline parameters are accepted.  This monklet will refresh when a user changes their default campus.

Section Monklet - Statement

This uses a link list to display the description text as a heading 5 centered in a section.  The image field is the custom logo from the design files and only shows to the right on larger devices (Image is 376px in width by 188px in height).

*Note - The section content should have the monklet only.  No additional content should be added to the section.  This is a full width section monklet only and the additional section options should not be used (image assigned to the link is custom set as the background).

Section Monklet - Linked Image (2), (3) or (4)

Displays linked images from the Link List module in rows of 2, 3 or 4.  The find inline parameter is required, and the Description field is the optional overlay text.

Section Monklet - Linked Image (2) Fullwidth

Works the same as the Section Monklet - Linked Image (2), but displays full width.

The find inline parameter is required, and the Description field is the optional overlay text.

The custom icons are created by entering a custom class in the "icon class" field (ie: fa-play).  See a full list of available icons: http://elmbrook.monkpreview3.com/_assets/fonts/icons/fontawesome/ (substitute your url for http://elmbrook.monkpreview3.com when your site goes live).

*Note - The section content should have the monklet only.  No additional content should be added to the section.  This is a full width section monklet only.

Displays a list view of the 8 most recent events in a carousel format.   You can use the find_group to display events from a specific campus and the find_category inline parameter to display events from a specific category.  If the section option "Container - Full Width" is used the prev/next carousel items will display.

NOTE: This uses the additional categories "Ongoing" and "One Time" in the image area as a tag.  If those categories are not assigned to an event then no tag will display.
