Subpage Overview

Templates

The "Subpage Default" is the default layout for your pages and displays the page content with a sidebar on the left.  The sidebar navigation will display if there are any related third level navigation items. The second level item will display as a header.  The "Style Guide" page has been setup to display all the default styles available for your site.

The "Subpage Fullwidth" template displays the page content at full width of the page container.

The "Subpage Fullwidth - Nav" template displays the page content at full width of the page container and displays a sub navigation at the top of the page.   The second level and third level links will display in the navigation.

The "Subpage Fullwidth - Nav Reload" template displays the page content at full width of the page container and displays a sub navigation at the top of the page.   Pages with this template should reside in the second level of your navigation tree.  Third level links will display in the sub navigation. When selecting a link from the sub navigation the page will reload with the selected page content and sections.  The Header/Billboard, Sub Navigation, Footer and Page Meta will remain as the second level page.

Header Placement

When a full width sub page template has content added in the page, the header will display above the header image and content will display between the large content container (not full screen).  If the "Header Fixed" option is checked or there are only full width sections added to the page, the header area and content will display full width instead in the large content container.

Index

This template serves as your home page and operates the same as the "Subpage Fullwidth" template.

There is a countdown addition to this template.

Content > Link Lists > “Billboard Countdown Images”

The first link in the list is the “Live” option, and the second is the “offline” option. This will use the image and the url of the link. The image/link is overlayed on top of the video/background image assigned to the index.php page.

The “Live Event Home” event category is used  to determine which image to show eg. Live event = first link in the list; Offline event = second link in the list.

If this list does not have any links, then the current billboard text/options are used.

Events > Events

The “live” version of the home billboard and livestream page is controlled by the events module. You have two “live” categories setup:

  • Live Event Home – controls when to show the live vs offline image overtop of the homepage billboard area
  • Live Event – controls when the livestream page switches to the live version

Both home and livestream pages will show “live” during the start/end times of an event with these categories assigned. So you could setup one event for your special service this Friday and assigned both categories. Or if you want the “watch” area on the homepage billboard to show prior to the event, you’d need to create two events (one for each category), similar to the setup for your streaming services.

Schema

Your default site church schema is automatically added to your site.

All your sub page templates and ministry #1 template are setup to look for the group assignment.  If the group assignment of a page is a campus group and that group has a matching Church entry then that page will have a custom church schema.

Example:

"@context": "http://schema.org",
  "@type": "Church",
  "name": "Eagle Brook Church | Church Name",

   "description": "Uses the page description field",
  "url": "system generated page location url",
  "telephone": "Church Phone",
  "openHours": "Church Scheme open hours",
  "address": "Church Address",
  "geo": {
    "@type": "GeoCoordinates",
    "latitude": "Church Latitude",
    "longitude": "Church Latitude"

*NOTE - Schemea openhours - this is text only and needs to follow formatting here: https://schema.org/openingHours (select the JSON-LD tab under the examples to see formats in action)

Open Graph Image

The site automatically uses the page "Header Image" as both the Facebook and Twitter Open Graph Image.  These are resized to 1200px by 600px.  If you would like to use a custom image you can place an image in the field labeled "OG Image (1200x630)".  Images should be 1200px by 600px.

SEO Title

The sub page templates have a field labeled "SEO Title" that can be used to replace the system generated title with a custom meta title.
