The Home Page smart content overlays the header image/rotator/background video area. This feature uses two different sections (Content > Sections). If a user is visiting the site for the first time the section, "Home Smart - Welcome New" is used. If the user has visited before the section, then "Home Smart - Welcome" is used.

Within the sections, you can add in your own content, buttons, links, etc. These sections support subpage styles and multi-columns.

To remove the smart content from your homepage, go to Content > Pages > Index and select the "disable homepage smart content" check box.
