The "Recent Articles" section, located at Content > Sections > "Recent Articles" by default displays the 3 most recently published articles with the title, publish date, and content preview.  This section is configured to display on the homepage and in a subpage sidebar (above).

To add this section to your page, navigate to your page, located at Content > Pages, edit the page, and under the "Sections" section, add "Recent Articles".

Since this section uses a custom monklet, the field "Uses Monklet" must be checked to display properly.
