Content > Pages > Index

The "INDEX" template is your homepage template and is assigned automatically to your home page. In the CMS, your homepage will be titled "INDEX" and cannot be changed.

Sections

The majority of the page is controlled via sections, and the homepage sections function the same way as the "Subpage Fullwidth" template.

Home - Experience

Content > Sections > Home - Experience

This is a freeform content section, so any text, image, links, etc are managed in the content field.

The "full narrow" grid generator option is also used for this content, so it doesn't span as wide. See more info about the grid generator here. 

Home - Next Steps

Content > Link List > Next Steps

For each item, the following fields are used: 

  • Name - column numbering
  • Link - single button link
  • Image - controls the image for each column. Images are 342px in width by 548px tall.
  • Description - controls the description text
  • Button text - controls the single button text. The "button text" is required to display the link button. 
  • Icon class - controls the icon above the title. See a full list of icons here
  • Sub Heading - controls the title

The description and button/url are optional. 

For columns using two buttons, the description and buttons are managed in a separate section (Content > Sections).

  • Start Here - "Next Steps Column 1"
  • Your Children - "Next Steps Column 4"

For these link list items, you will see the corresponding section "slug" section in the description field, ie: {{next-steps-column-1}}, but the content is managed in the separate sections listed above.

Note - the "Home - Next Steps" section is using custom monklet that uses the image for each column and spans full width.  The section does not need the full width assignment as this is part of the monklet.  The overlay is also automatically added.

Events > Events

This section displays the 12 most recent featured events with the "Events #4" category assigned.

Home - Sermon

Content  > Sermons

Displays the video, title, date, speaker and description for your latest message.

Note - the category "Podcasts" is hidden.

Home - Worship

Content > Articles

Displays the most recent article assigned to the "Worship" category.

The Worship title and description text area managed in the section: Content > Sections > "Home - Worship"

Home - Families

Content > Link Lists > Families List

For each item, the following fields are used: 

  • Name - column numbering

In order to have two buttons for the "Weekly Families" column, the description and buttons are managed in a separate section: Content > Sections > "Families List Column 2". 

For this link list item, you will see the section slug name in the description field: {{families-list-column-2}}, but the content is managed in the separate section: "Families List Column 2".

Home - Stay Connected

Content > Link Lists > Stay Connected

Within the link list, you'll see the following items:

Stay Connected - the name, description and the optional "Learn More" button show on the left column of the section.  The button text is required for the additional learn more button.  The Add App to Home Screen is hard coded from within the monklet to take the user to the help option of the /app page.

There should be two second level links that contain only an image.

  • Computer - the first child link image should be 710px in width by 515px tall.
  • Mobile - the second child link image should be 420px in width by 770px tall.

Note - The section options should not be used with this monklet.
